Salazar Slytherin wasn't the only person to leave his secrets embedded in the very structure of Hogwarts itself.

But he was one of the most determined. And after another of his dangerous secrets was used against muggleborn with devastating effect, public opinion turned against Slytherin -- not just the man, but the Hogwarts house.

Three years and a lot of negotiating later, the four new houses of Hogwarts are about to be introduced for the optional summer term of 2021. But Hogwarts isn't just a mundane building that doesn't care what happens within it. And Salazar Slytherin wasn't the only person to leave his secrets embedded in the very structure of Hogwarts itself.

From the quarrels of the Founders to the enhancements of the Victorian Age to the magic added after the most recent Battle of Hogwarts, Hogwarts embodies the magic of the ages, secret lore and forgotten history. And what the reformers didn't realize in their zeal is that a great deal of that magic ties into the four traditional Hogwarts houses.

And what happens to Hogwarts when those four houses are replaced?
