    Time Event

    eksperimentis.
    for a better world.

Seven years ago, a mysterious and completely random phenomenon occurred: Pokémon transformed into humans. The reason for such an event is unknown even to this day, despite the continued efforts of many researchers and scientists. One individual was motivated by such an immense desire that he took his studies to an outrageous level. That was the Leader.

Two years later, the Leader rose and announced his name and objective to the masses: to discover how and why Pokémon became humans. His methods were conventional enough in the beginning, but soon his means to accomplish this goal became highly controversial. Unorthodox human experimentation and exploitation came into play. He used money, power, the invitation to kill to rope in support and gave him a better opportunity to actually commit his research. Of course, the biggest motivation for his Pokémon-based army was the promise to become their true selves again.

An all-out war eventually broke out between his followers and the opposition, dubbed "the resistance" by the media and largely composed of emotion-driven Pokémon who wanted to put an end to the harm against their kind. Others took a stand through financial and political means, but it was bloodshed that ended the war. With the victory of the resistance, and the experiments were shut down indefinitely. Those who remained of the Leader's army were arrested and put on trial; some were executed, but most managed to escape. But the Leader? No one knows where he disappeared to. Still, things were looking up...

Five years later, the peace brought by the war was suddenly and utterly broken. The Leader appeared again, alive and well, and once again made known his intentions to learn the truth. His methods have not changed; countless Pokémon have so quickly become victim to his lethal methods, and the number is growing.

Finding peace another time in such disarray and torment will require a miracle.

Welcome to Eksperimentis, a Pokémon-based OC RP. We are looking for potential new players who are willing to stick it out with us. The game is heavily plot-driven and we require a larger cast to make that plot as enriching as possible. It is also fairly lax in general (as far as gameplay goes), but the nature of the story requires an amount of maturity and a serious mindset. If you would like to contact a mod for more information before considering an application, please feel free to do so. We are hoping to see you there!

    Forgotten Gods

"Immortals are what you wanted," said Thor in a low, quiet voice. "Immortals are what you got. It is a little hard on us. You wanted us to be for ever, so we are for ever. Then you forget about us. But we are still for ever. Now at last, many are dead, many are dying," he then added in a quiet voice, "but it takes a special effort."

    -- Douglas Adams

Forgotten Gods follows the deities of ancient mythologies, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers have moved on to new religions, the gods' powers have waned -- for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, intent on regaining the power that was once theirs and reviving their followings.

And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the old ones, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep, abiding wariness.

Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology.
