For as long as anyone can remember, the City has always been one of the largest metropolitan centers in the world. It has had its share of glory and decline, but none so great as the age following the founding of OzCorp. Michael Ozma was no man of magic, but he might as well have been, for the technological wonders he wrought. Today, however, the Gilded Age is long past. OzCorp, now led by Ozma's three daughters, has become corrupt, and the City has fallen from its glory days. Crime and drugs now rule the streets, though some aristocrats continue to live above it all. Inspired by folk-lore and fairy-tales, Not So Far Away is a unique Role-Playing World that brings characters from fairytale, folklore, and mythology from around the world together into an ever-expanding universe. 4:56p	100AD It has been nearly a hundred years since Jesus walked the Earth, a hundred years since God took offense at the man who was to become known as his son-. He was furious when he discovered he was a fallen angel, pretending to be human. An Angel who had transplanted memories into a family and a villiage of people so he would have a backstory. An Angel who was doing what he wanted, that went against the rules and regulations that Heaven functioned with. A hundred years since Saetan took delight in God's fury and started a war between Heaven and Hell. 2010 Today, the war is still waging between Heaven and Hell. It has esculated in fury and has left not one Angel or Demon untouched by it. The only people who remain unaware of the war being faught around them are the Humans of Earth. Except that is about to change. Saetan, has cast his eyes onto the Human Race as a way to win the war against God and Heaven. A way to end this once and for all but God won't allow that to happen. Instead he sends his own people to Earth to go against the ones Saetan sent, ones to get the Humans to help him. With the war spilling over to Earth and the Humans caught in the crossfire of the war, the question is what will happen now? Will they accept that Heaven and Hell are real? Will they participate in the war? If so which side? Will they stand united against Heaven and Hell or will they be split into sides of who to support? Only time will tell. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, intent on regaining the power that was once theirs and reviving their followings. And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. They are young, at the height of their power. These newcomers are regarded dismissively by some of the old ones, who have seen so many new deities rise and fall in their time; jealously by others, who wish to reclaim the power for their own; and by all with a deep, abiding wariness. Inspired by the world of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, this game invites players to step into the roles of deities, old and new, to create their own modern mythology. 10:26p	CRIMSON LILLIES PREMISE DEVA LINKS MISC PREMISE Once upon a time. No that’s not how this story starts, not even close. Imagine a world where the entire Supernatural realm was real, where Humans were the latest endangered species. That’s the world we live in as of 2019. You see the oh so lovely government? Oh they’ve been hiding plenty of secrets from us, the existence of the supernatural is one of them. Our government has known about the existence since the early 1800’s, but swore to themselves and the supernatural councils, not to reveal the realm’s existence for fear of complete and utter chaos amongst all races. Turns out the supernatural realm never gave a shit about us humans, oh no, they all saw us as food. We were pathetic excuses of walking flesh. After all those years of pretending that they weren’t real, sitting around watching the human society spit out shitty ass movies like Twilight, or Underworld, about the Vampric race, they were pissed. So in 2019 they came out, ignoring the so called treaty and thus the human race as we know it fell to the extinction line. Just like the Crimson Lily, Humans have too, become rare. All across the globe the Human race is dotted upon the extinction line, those that have been captured are sold into slavery or as blood dolls/mules. To this day there is only one town that holds the Human race as highly as the other races. Only one town that frowns upon the slavery market for humans. Deva, Romania. That is where our story takes place, the only safe haven for humans and supernatural races alike. RETURN TO TOP ] DEVA Deva is located in the mountains and hills of Romania. It's a thriving oasis for Humans and Supernaturals alike, and is a bustling metropolis.
