It took little effort for Augustus to plant the seed in his mate's head. Everyone who knew Rabastan Lestrange knew that planning such a social gathering was beyond him. However, they had only recently busted out of Azkaban after a 15-year stay, and Rookwood was ready to make the most of it. Not only that, but his little sister Jocelyn had quite an attachment to his bipolar comrade. Much of August couldn't help but disagree with the pairing; not only was Rabastan a bit aggressive from time to time, he was well older than her. There was no talking sense into his baby sister once she set her mind to something, though, and thus far, Augustus had very few complaints. She seemed content enough now that both were free from Azkaban once more, but if they began to make their trips into a tradition, there was no telling the toll it would play on Jocelyn's mental stability. She'd relied solely on her brother and her inheritance for her entire life, so his well-being impacted her in more ways than one. It was only icing on top of the cake for both men she cared for to be under lock & key at the exact same time.
Since the mass breakout, Lyn hadn't spoken to Rabastan. She wasn't exactly invited by name, either, though August wouldn't hear of his sister being left alone on such a night. No, he demanded the house elves prepare her well in advance to their departure, and prepared she'd been. He didn't really have to twist her arm, for Jocelyn Rookwood was quite willing. Part of her wanted to punish Rabastan for staying cooped up so long, though she couldn't hold it against him as much as she tried. He'd been there for Augustus when others cowered or backed down, and for that, she owed him much.
The brother & sister duo made their way to Lestrange's place, few words being spoken between the two up until they made it to his front step. "You won't follow me around all night, August?" Jocelyn asked softly, a bit of a plead in her voice. She didn't have to state her reasons, for he knew all too well what she was implying.
"Give me a reason not to," he challenged, wrapping his arm around his little sister's back as he led her closer to the door before rapping heavily on the wood.
Jocelyn sighed, her hands clinging tightly to her dress robe as Augustus knocked a second time. "Just don't hover, alright?" Her older brother looked a bit annoyed, but nodded reluctantly to her final request.
