Terry was eager to get outside after classes, ready to stretch his legs and work off some of the pent up energy eight hours of classes gave him. He loved school and enjoyed all his classes, but he wouldn't lie and say that after awhile he wasn't restless, especially since it was only the third day of school and his summer had been spent with whole days reading or lying about in the shop, and coming back to such a structured environment was a shock to the system.
Which was why, even though it was gray and drizzly and looked like a thunderstorm was on its way, Terry strolling happily down to the lake. Reasons like that were exactly why Wizards had created Impervious and Warming Charms, and why Muggle had invented umbrellas.
He was on his own at the moment, not even having stopped by the dorm to drop off his schoolbag. He'd figured if it stayed mostly dry he could do some homework by the lake. He was good enough with Impervious Charms that there was no risk of ruining the parchment, and his need to be outdoors had outweighed practicalities.
He did hope he wouldn't be alone for long; hopefully sooner or later someone would wander down for a break. But if they didn't, he had his journal and a couple of novels along with the schoolbooks, so he could keep himself well entertained for a couple of hours before dinner.
So, despite the dreary weather that had been plaguing Great Britain all summer, this afternoon was shaping up to be a pretty enjoyable one.
