None of us hurt then.” He stood up and lifted his eyes to the ceiling and the steady semi-orange glow originating from the emergency lights. “Clearly the powers gone out aboard the ship,” he sighed. “That’s just brilliant. World class cruise liner’s maiden voyage and its elevators are trapping people. Sorry Morgan I guess all that work you did this morning’s going to come undone.” He smiled a little ruefully and went to the EMERGENCY CALL box and popped it open, removing the red plastic phone from its hook inside and tucking it under his ear, waiting for the operator to pick up and give him an estimate about the time frame it would take to get out of here. He smiled at the younger girl who didn’t seem that worried, but he remarked anyway: “Don’t worry. This is no big deal. They’ll get the power back on and we get out of here.”
