Crossing one leg in front of the other, still with her shoes hanging off her fingers, Lily nodded. "Yeah, but I didn't wear an appropriate costume." One could argue she was in costume all the time, though. "But then my shoe strap broke and I almost fell so I decided to go up and change into another pair." She explained, wiggling her toes.
When Cary greeted the third person that had come into the elevator, Lily did too. "Hiya!" She said cheerfully, despite all the shoe-malfunctions.
As the elevator stopped Lily leaned away from the wall and looked up instinctively, despite being too dark to see anything. The flickering red light hit her right in the eye when it came on, and the girl blinked and looked away. She was slightly scared, too. When Cary got off the phone, Lily deflated with clear disapproval of the whole situation.
"Oh, no. What a stupid thing to happen!" She protested. As Cary sat on the floor, Lily looked down, considering whether or not to do the same. Truth was, they could be in here a while and she had already hurt her ankle a little bit when the strap had snapped off. She might as well sit down.
Sliding down the elevator wall Lily sat next to Cary, looking ahead at the door with a morose expression. It wasn't that she had claustrophobia, or anything like that, but this was definitely not a situation she'd ever considered as a good one to be in. Lily crossed her legs and pulled her long, red dress over them, placing her shoes next to her. Then, she looked up at the other woman. "Have a seat, love, we might be here a while." She said sweetly.
