As someone came shooting into the elevator, Cary smiled when he noticed it was Lily. Although they had had an awkward moment the day before it was still nice to see someone he recognized. "Lily, hey! Were you at the 90's party too?" he asked, shifting into a position that did tell everyone he wanted to collapse on his bed and sleep.
He smiled at the other woman who slipped in behind Lily. "Hi," he directed at her courteously, nodding his head once.
Small spaces had never bothered Cary, it was his older brother that couldn't stand them. Momentarily confused when the lights flickered out and the elevator stopped, Cary blinked as if he'd suddenly gone blind. A little red light above them started flashing and the two woman were awash in red. "Looks like we're stuck until they figure things out with the power," he said with a shrug as he hung up the phone and slipped off his jacket before taking a spot on the elevator floor. "'Technicals difficulties' and all that." Cary was used to being on his feet all day, but with the jet lag and being away from his family it was making him feel sleepier than usual. His feet were hurting and who knew how long they would be here.
