She believed him on that. Duffman seemed right up Jake's alley, as far as costumes go... She looked across the table at him while taking a long sip from sweetened tea, one hand busy swirling the straw in the bottom of the glass, even when her lips were wrapped around it. Lei had one eyebrow arched, purposefully letting his question hang in the air for a moment.
Of course, she could never hold a straight face very long. Laughing a little in the back of her throat, Lei leaned back in the booth and signed back to him.
As long as you aren't constantly hip-thrusting the air, yes I'll help you.
Another quick sip from her tea: an action accompanied by a pair of dark, exotic (for Boston) eyes following a pair of attractive Australian guys--given the accents that Lei couldn't hear-- that passed their booth on the way to a table. The look didn't last long. Jake had her attention again, and she met his inevitable smugness with some of her own.
Game plan tonight?
She was referring to the Campbell siblings' tradition of mild debauchery when it came to them going to parties or bars together. Little competitions between them to see who could get the most drinks bought for them, who could get a number the quickest, things of that nature. Something that started when Lei turned twenty-one, Jake discovered exactly how Saintly his little sister could make him look in front of women, and Lei discovered how easily she could sabotage his 'game' in the name of fun.
