Brodie's features softened as Nayan talked about being picked on at school. "Aw, I'm sorry." He started thinking maybe being pretty much invisible wasn't a bad thing at all in school. His smile widened at the compliment, and Brodie nodded in thanks, still feeling quite embarrassed as he always did when complimented.
"Really, you play the bass?" Brodie asked, curious. Considering he probably wouldn't be able to find Jaz until the idea had washed off his mind completely, maybe he would take Nayan up on his offer. "We'd have to find at least one bass guitar..." And even if he found Jaz, she probably wouldn't lend them hers, which he quite understood. Brodie wouldn't lend anyone his drumsticks, let alone the drumset itself. "But maybe we could jam some time, I'm sure we can figure out a way!" He offered, excited by the prospect. When at home a day did not go by when Brodie didn't play at least one instrument, for at least one hour. Here, he was starting to miss it.
