The Aussie's gaze did widen at the answer. An avid reader himself, he had at least skimmed through it, and definitely watched both movies. "Yeah, it's pretty good, I liked it." He said, despite not having exactly read the whole thing through. Sometimes Brodie thought he had some sort of super power that pertained to his ability to skim through things and still retain all the information. Then again if it was a super power, it was one he didn't use much. He actually liked to read.
Brodie chuckled at the dramatic position the other man seemed to be in regarding a simple book - good, sure, but that good? Not even the bloody Bible. Although on second thought a lot of people probably did get disowned for not reading that. Maybe. Gasping slightly at 'the original French', Brodie shook his head. "Right, that I couldn't do. French is not my forte." As in, he didn't speak a word of French past the alliterations in the English language. "That one's good, but I liked the one with John Malkovich better."
Then again he had been a kid when he had watched Cruel Intentions and dammit if it hadn't left an impression. Truth be told, he had watched them out of order and good thing too; he had been three years old when the 'original' had come out.
Changing his cigarette to his other hand, Brodie shook Nayan's with a soft smile, "I'm Brodie, good to meet you."
