He wouldn't call it tough, but odd it was, considering Brodie hadn't even noticed the other man sitting there until he heard his voice, accent laced with he-didn't-know-what. Shrugging, the Aussie gave him a shy smile. "Not really. Just not a lot of willpower, I guess." He answered, illustrating his point by tagging a long drag out of his cigarette, tapping on it with the tip of his finger to drop the ash.
He yawned then, stretching on the sofa like a lazy cat before drawing another breath and sitting back up a little. When Brodie looked back at the man, trying very hard to make it look like he wasn't actually taking in his harmonious features - and possibly succeeding due to his sunglasses - he glanced at the man's book. "Can I ask what you're reading?"
Maybe he should have brought his own current book along instead of trying to trick himself into thinking he was actually going to exercise.
