The look he gave her made her smile and she turned away so the blush that spread across her face wasn't visible. Boys were still a little foreign to Delia, she'd gone to an all girls school and teenage boys who weren't her brothers were kept at a distance. University was a whole new, exciting and different experience for her, boys included.
"There's a small blanket just there on armchair," It came out more as a statement then anything else. He was still shivering and it was making Delia feel cold. "We have; green, peppermint, rooibos... vanilla? um, earl grey and darjeeling. I think there might be more, actually..." All her roommates, herself included, loved tea and they drank it quite religiously. That and coffee were their main sources of hydration, water being a closed second.
She gave him a warm smile, his hair sticking out at odd angles amused her. "It's no problem, really," It was a small favour she would have done for, almost anyone. There was an edge of awkwardness now, she stood waiting for the water to heat up with a near stranger in her apartment. Her roommates probably wouldn't be back anytime soon and the general disarray of the place made her feel ever so slightly self-conscious. Delia had always been taught that first impressions were everything and that you should always keep yourself and your space presentable.
That kind of went to hell when she started school. "S-sorry about the mess," Her voice was quite as she edged around Danny to pick things up half-heartedly. It took her a few seconds to notice the delicate lace of her underwear on the coffee table. 'Fuck!' Keeping her face as smooth as possible and heading over to table, she shoved them into small basket on the floor. Her face was burning so she kept her back to him as she pretended to clean.
