Lily nodded, but didn't say anything else. She didn't suppose a stranger ought to hear about how her family was like that most of the time, especially towards her for being the only thing both her parents still had in common. No, he didn't need to hear that, and Lily didn't need to think about it.
"Oh, that's brilliant! Beats socks and gift vouchers, dunnit?" Said Lily, smiling. She was still debating whether or not to bring presents back to her family, considering they probably did not deserve it at all. Maybe chocolates, or something cheap like that. Not like they deserved much more than that.
Lily's presents hadn't been that fantastic, much less imaginative. Shrugging, the girl shifted her position against the railings. "Lots of gift vouchers." She answered, smirking. "Ten quid on each, for clothing shops I hardly go to because I prefer thrift shops. But I'm sure I can find a way to spend them."
