Cary laughed, nodding his head in agreement. "Definitely, if it were the other way round though I suppose we'd all have very cold feet and packed cruise ships." Which in hindsight didn't seem too bad, well, not for the people on the cruise ships anyway. He had to actively stop himself from laughing at his own stupid joke.
"No, no not at all! It's just a little honest and it took me by surprise," he said shaking his head and straighten up. Cary thought for a second and then spoke again, "I suppose everyone is though, aren't they? Sad, I mean." shrugging his shoulders he continued, "It sort of becomes natural and something we don't often notice or even ask about..." There was definitely something about this girl that intrigued Cary and he furrowed his brow for a minute before relaxing against the rail again, getting caught in the waves once more. "It's fine, really."
