"Much easier," he agreed, breathing out a laugh. It wasn't that he didn't want to be here, this was amazing. It was just that Cary was a homebody and preferred staying at home, but he couldn't really complain in the face of the sun. Not when it was shining down on him so happily.
After years of watching movies from the 40's, the style had sort of grown on Cary and he probably would have run around wearing suits all day if he wasn't in his uniform for most of it. The woman's style though was something he always thought was classy and sexy without being overt about it. Which woman had a tendency to do these days and it turned him off for the most part.
He simply nodded, sneaking a glance at her before staring off into the hypnotic waves of the ocean. A slightly uncomfortable silence, the kind that happened between two people who had just met, settled over them. Cary had just decided to excuse himself, his eyes a little heavy with exhaust, when she spoke again. He snapped his head up and looked at her, it surprised him that a) someone would pick up on it and b) that they would bring it up. Cary faltered before speaking up. "Isn't that a bit personal?" he asked her, still staring at her. He wasn't offended, simply surprised and slightly uncomfortable. Feelings were things that Cary was more comfortable ignoring.
