Who: Astoria and open to multiple people (whoever wants to jump in, and whenever they want to jump in).
When: Evening.
Where: Hogsmeade village.
Summary: Astoria is at the festivities with her parents and trying to escape them to go off on her own.
Rating: TBD - In progress.
Astoria had tried everything she could have thought of to find a date for the festivities, especially considering she didn't want to be stuck the entire time with her parents, but she had failed. She stood inside of Hogsmeade village next to her mother as her parents managed to lead her all around, talking with their circle of friends. It was dull, listening to all of their conversations about everything and yet again nothing. And the amount of gossip that was involved, it honestly gave Astoria a bit of a headache. Why were they so worried about what somebody else was doing, or even wearing for that matter? Astoria spent most of the time looking dreadfully bored and remaining silent but that seemed to be a positive thing, because for the first time in well, ever, Astoria seemed to be fitting in with her parents and their social group just fine. She only spoke when spoken directly to and her answers were short and simple which seemed surprising to even her parents closest friends.
Astoria's dress turned out to be even more beautiful than she could have ever expected and her robes that Nia had also designed had only added to that beauty. Her hair had also been done differently from how she typically did it herself, courtesy of her mother. None the less, Astoria in all honestly felt like a bit of a princess for the first time of her life. She always had fun dressing up to a certain extent but the way she looked tonight wasn't her own doing, it was that of others, piecing her together in order to attempt to make her look like a proper pureblood witch, and even if she didn't really feel like one, she sure felt that she looked the part.
However, being with her parents wasn't something that Astoria was necessarily happy about. "May I be excused, mother, father?" Astoria asked once her parents weren't preoccupied with their social duties. "What are you intending to do, Astoria?" Her father asked as she shrugged lightly. "I'd just like to walk about, look around." Astoria's mother seemed more hesitant than her father to let her go off on her own, but her father waved a hand to gesture that she could take off. "When the festivities move to the castle, you are to find us, is that understood?" Astoria nodded in agreement and turned away, making her way completely to the opposite direction of where her parents were heading.
Finally, she had a bit of freedom. She looked around as she walked, stopping momentarily at a few booths to look at their items. Her eyes and attention kept straying though. What was she looking for exactly? Or more so who was she looking for?
