WHO: Ron and Gwenog
WHEN: August 12: early evening.
WHERE: Godric's Hollow
SUMMARY: A conversation over rubble.
RATING: R
STATUS: In progress
A good house was like a conversation. It could be formal, weighty architecture showcasing grand doorways flanked by identical windows and front walks flanked with matching trees or stunted flower beds. Or they could be informal, colloquial and impetuous, giving the impression of architecture that was grown rather than planned.
The buildings left standing in Godrick’s Hallow, however, were a eulogy.
Gwenog finished Transfiguring a damaged load-bearing wall, patting it with tired fondness. The sight of her hand, white and freckled, against the stone was only momentarily jarring. She was becoming depressingly used to going around swathed in glamour. The red hair was possibly overkill though.
Still, she had been oddly in the mood for ginger after talking with the wee Weasleys. They were so - energetic. So righteous in their horror and their eagerness to fight. So achingly good.
And young, of course. So horribly, damnably young.
Gwenog was still frowning at the thought when her eye snagged on a flash of red hair.
Speak of the ginger and one shall appear…
