Penny stared down at the paperwork that detailed her adoption to Niall Clearwater and Lachlann Summers. To just look at them casually or in a normal situation, you would never notice anything out of place. As she studied them, she could see minor details that were missing and should have been there. Things that someone with a purpose and a reason for looking might find. Even someone who just wanted to find something, might have been able to find them. They were only slight errors in the charms work but it was enough that Penny knew she had to do something to ensure that they looked perfect. They had to be undeniably perfect.
It was a problem she had no real answer for, and it made the Ravenclaw in her absolutely enraged over not knowing something. Knowledge was power, knowledge was the key to all things, so why couldn’t she find what she was looking for? She had books piled high all around her kitchen table, some around her bed, and none of them were giving her the answers she wanted. Fortunately, Penny loved reading, it made spending hours on end, diving into different subjects worthwhile. And, while she wasn’t any closer to perfecting the charms on her paperwork, she did manage to learn quite a few new charms that might help others down the line should they need a means of paperwork.
Creating something out or nothing was apparently much easier than trying to change something that was already done and meant to be, for all purposes, set in stone. So maybe other muggle borns could be saved if they tried to leave if she could hex things to give them legitimate looking forms.
Penny’s clock chimed forcing her gaze to move from the paper to see the time. She was supposed to be meeting Dax to learn to defend herself. Part of her was actually excited and intrigued about the idea of learning something new. As stated before, knowledge was power regardless if it was magical or not. The logical side of her however saw his size, his toned physique and training and knew that this was probably going to end with her staring up at him from her back. So really, what could go wrong with that, right? At least it wasn’t public.
Tearing herself away from her paperwork, Penny tucked it away in a box that was hexed for safe keeping, before she apparated from where she stood and to Dax’s flat. Upon finding his door, she knocked, her hand moving stray hair from her face. “What could go wrong?” She said to herself as various mental images ran through her mind. The one thing making it all worth it was that it was Dax and well, any reason to see him was worth it.
