Jo had spent more time in her new house than outside of it. She hadn’t seen the Winchesters, but she figured that it was because they wanted to wait until they were their normal selves again. She couldn’t really blame them for that because she knew that if she had suddenly turned into a man, finding her friends would not have been high on her list of things to do right away. However, all of that aside, she had been here a few weeks and had gone nowhere but to the nearest store to get some basic staples for living.
On top of that, she had bought a grill. It had been a last minute idea, but she thought that having a grilling party in her back yard at some point would be a lot of fun. She could supply the steaks and they could bring the beer and anything else they wanted to have with their steaks.
Feeling excited about something for the first time since she had arrived here, Jo left her house and decided to go exploring and see if there was anything else in this town that caught her eye. If there was something she liked that looked like it needed to come home with her, well, then she’d weigh the options and decide if she was purchasing it or not.
It was quite likely that she would indeed be doing some actual house shopping even though shopping really wasn’t the kind of thing she enjoyed.
Leaving a clothing store that seemed to specialize in all things Western, Jo was playing with one of her newly acquired knives and therefore not paying attention to where she was going. She ended up walking right into someone else. Literally.
She stumbled back, dropping her bags and her knife as she kept herself from falling. The words of apology and concern died in her throat as she stared at the person she had just run into.
“You have got to be fucking kidding me.” Jo knew she had gone pale when she recognized the woman standing in front of her,
What in the hell was she doing here and why hadn’t anyone warned her?
