Jo backed away, trying to figure out what Meg's game was this time. She didn't hear anything, so she was almost sure that Meg wasn't waiting for those damn hounds to attack her. She wouldn't put it past the demon, but she didn't think that was what was going on here. She frowned, keeping her eyes on Meg and she reached down to grab her other knife. She felt better having a weapon in each hand as she looked at her, trying to measure what was going to happen here.
She shifted, balancing on the balls of her feet so she could move if Meg attacked her.
"What the hell are you playing at, Meg? Playing victim?"
