"Really, feathers?" she asked with a laugh. "You see me going out to a movie, rubbing shoulders with humans, and having a good time?" The truth was that she didn't know she wouldn't have a good time, exactly. She thought about the fun that could be had in the back row of a movie theater, once the lights went down. But she'd wanted tonight to be special, and going out into the world, where there were so many eyes, hadn't felt right. She knew that no unsuspecting human would be able to look at them and know what they were, but she couldn't help but feeling like they'd be watched, and judged, all the same. Besides, they could run into anyone out there, and she certainly didn't want a Winchester accidentally crashing her first attempts to be truly there for Castiel.
And that's exactly what she was trying to do. She was trying to show him that she wasn't going to run anymore. She cared about him and she needed a way to show that with actions rather than just words. They'd had sex, yes, and that implied a deeper connection. But this, here, being soft for him and making an effort to do a normal, human thing...that was a true sign of her commitment, and she wanted to make that as clear as possible.
"Eat," she instructed, perhaps a little too snappily. "You think I put this much effort into all the other angels on the block?
