Castiel had only been trying to make Meg happy, like she was making him happy, so he hoped that the items he'd gotten for her would in fact, help with that. He had no idea that she didn't really need the items, that it had been all a way to get him out of the apartment for a while, but that was simply because he saw no reason for her to try and trick him out of the apartment in the first place. This surprise just happened to coincide with the time he was out of the apartment. So, he looked in awe for a moment at what she managed to put together in that time he was gone and how it was almost timed perfectly to when he came back.
"Well, no, I don't. I've never dated before," he answered after a moment, because he wasn't sure why she was bringing that up. But, as she signaled for him to sit down and from the fact she'd taken his coat, he was slowly beginning to put those things together with the things he'd observed from humans and their interactions with one another. "Meg, is this a date?" His question held a hint of excitement, proving he was looking forward to this with her. He'd never been on a date before. He never had reason for that, because that wasn't something he had to worry about as an angel.
