"I would understand if you were, Meg. It is not very interesting, observing me while I sleep. I am certain I don't do much." Castiel knew, from watching the Winchesters as they slept on occasion, that a sleeping human was not interesting to say the least. Their dreams were interesting, yes. But that was it. Anything beyond that and they were actually quite boring. They would become so vulnerable, that the guards they put into practice when they were awake would fall, but that was why their minds became more exposed to the intrusion of dreams. But, thanks to the medicine he was currently on, Castiel's dreams were of no interest to anyone. His mind was a blank slate, at least from his point of view, because he didn't remember his dreams. Everything sort of blurred together for him, to where he wasn't even sure what day it actually was.
"What shiny object were you looking to acquire?" He was curious, wondering where she could find herself in the midst of this storm. He'd seen worse, of course. He'd lived through worse. But that didn't mean he wasn't aware of how the storm outside wasn't simply a bit of rain, with some thunder and lightning. It was a full blown down pour, complete with harsh winds and otherwise. It was enough to keep him indoors and perhaps before, when he was still an angel, he wouldn't have let it bother him. But now, he was fragile and human, easily broken and prone to more illnesses than what he was currently suffering through. Kinds that would make the common cold seem like it was merely a scrape of a knee.
"I could no longer sleep. I've slept a long while now. It's making me feel better, but I also would like to be awake for more than a few moments at a time."
