“Oh?” she asked with a questioning looking on her face. She let her hand fall to her side after Clint knocked it away from him. He could have done a lot more than that to her and she could have done just as much back. But, they were there to talk and catch up, not scare the locals.
“Is that what you were doing?” She wasn’t buying it for a minute. If he had been doing what he said he was doing, he would have been watching the back door just as closely and she might have just been caught before she had the chance to spin him around in the chair. Not that any of that really mattered. They were both there in one place and it had definitely been too long since they had last seen each other.
She finally took a seat next to him, her eyes never leaving his. “How are you doing…with all of this I mean?” It was pretty clear that they were all dealing with their kidnappings in different ways, but she only really cared how Barton was doing.
