"You'll be fine," she snapped, twisting the lid off the vapo rub. The smell that hit her was intense...and she'd spent a great deal of time around dead bodies, so that was saying something. She made a slight face then shrugged. Human bodies were a mystery, but if this helped him breath, then it was worth it. She moved to the far side of the bed, so he was on her right hand side, and sat down on the edge. She placed the open jar on the bedside table and reached towards him, tugging his shirt roughly over her head.
For a moment, she let herself think about how she'd envisioned doing this. Oh, she still would have been rough, she was sure. She have pulled that shirt away and run her hands across the exposed skin, sinking her nails into his back... She had to stop that. There was no way anything remotely like it was bound to happen in the immediate future, even if he hadn't been sick. His sudden humanity was the cock block of all cock blocks in her life. She couldn't use him and run as she would have if he'd still been an angel. He needed her. And, with each passing day, she was coming to terms with how much she really wanted him around. Still...you can't lay a steak in front of a hungry tiger and not expect her to notice. She eyed his exposed chest with frank appraisal that she did not bother to hide. He was slim, but tone. Not overly muscled as Sam had been, but that was more than okay with her. There was such a thing as too much in that department and, with as small as she was in comparison to him, she thought added bulk might just overwhelm her.
"Stay still," she ordered sharply, picking up the jar again. She scooped a healthy dollop onto her fingers, cringing a bit at the texture. It reminded her of things best left unremembered from her days as a torturer in Hell. Funny that two such situations could be so vastly different, and yet call out to the same tactile memories. Slowly, with a gentle, almost hesitant touch, she spread the thick goop on his chest in a large circle, making several passes to spread it evenly across his skin in a thin, sticky layer.
