"But I did miss you." Castiel's statement, because it was a statement of fact, not just something to placate her mood or make her feel like she was being forced in to continuing to deal with him because he desperately needed that help. If she had other things, better things to do, he would have understood, albeit be quietly out of sorts because he was so used to having her there. Not just because of his feelings for her, the ones he was slowly trying to work through, but because while the Winchesters had checked on him, she was the only one truly there in his corner, making sure he was alright. And while she helped, it wasn't to a point where she never left him to his own devices to figure things out on his own.

His tastes were simple and that was true with the sandwiches he made, although he often made at least two whenever he had a meal, just to ensure he had proper sustenance. But, he didn't come out here for supplies and he didn't want Meg to simply help him because he required something for his home.
There was a beat, as he moved to her side, now that she was trying to make her leave of him. She'd only turned away from him, but he thought maybe he could talk her into staying. He could still meet people or observe them while she was there. Her company was one of the things he liked most here.
"You could come with me to observe the people." That slight, shy smile he sometimes he used with her, the one that as rare as smiles were for him, was reserved almost exclusively for her, appeared a moment later.
