Who: Cindy and Peter
What: Meeting the roomie
When: Now
Where: Their house
Warnings: Nah
“What the fuck?” The words came out a lot less heated and much more confused as Cindy looked around the room she’d just woken up in. This wasn’t her bedroom but as far as she could tell, she wasn’t in immediate danger either. If something was going down, it totally was but it wasn’t sinister because her Silk sense would have been going bonkers by now and it wasn’t. Her Silk sense was quiet and it kinda creeped her out when things were clearly not okay.
Her lips pursed as her gaze landed on a tablet on her nightstand. A quick scan of the screen and her temper surged. No. Nope! This was not okay, this was so not okay. There was no way in hell she was gonna be stuck in some creepy little town. She had already done the prisoner thing in the bunker and she wasn’t keen on doing it again. She ripped the covers off of her and headed straight for the door. Maybe the dude from the tablet didn’t know how to get out of the town, but Cindy would find a way. She wasn’t just going to give up because she was told to. Not her style.
She made it a few steps out into the hallway when she heard footsteps coming from the room next to hers. She froze and suspiciously glared at the door. Her Silk sense was still quiet but she knew full well that could change in a second. She debated over ignoring whoever was on the other side and getting the hell out of dodge or sticking around to see who it was. She waited for a split second before she thought screw it, and reached for the doorknob.
She threw open the door and all the fight in her left. Okay, so she hadn’t been expecting a teenage boy to be inside and now she was feeling like a giant dork for the dramatic reveal. Was it dramatic? It had felt dramatic. Cindy raised her hand up in an awkward wave because that seemed like the thing to do.
“Uh, hi?”
