Hello my lovies! I know you all can't wait to find out who the hottest witches and wizards are in London, and don't worry, you'll find out soon. But first I need you too break a little tie for me. Now I'm not going to tell you where these two are on the list, so don't go assuming anything.

Special Report [Jun. 25th, 2009|09:28 am]
o2c_mod_device
We have a special report coming in, according to sources in the auror office there were several attacks around the area thought to be the work of Death Eaters. One such attack took place in Diagon Alley where Hannah Abbott was attacked and currently in stable condition at Mungo's. Several businesses burned down as well including the Endymion, Sugar n Spice, The Olive Branch, Qualitiy Quidditch supply and Madame Malkin's. We will keep you updated on the investigation as we get it. The Ministry asks that citizens please remain calm.

[Death Eaters]

Rosier and Yaxley sat next to each other in velvet, gold gilded arm chairs, staring out at the eight low level supporters that sat in front of them. Six of the highest ranking Death Eaters stood on either side of Yaxley and Rosier. The night was pitch black, the stars and moon seemed to be hiding from Rosier and so the gathering was lit only by a few torches, making the masked figures look inhuman. The desire to kill the either that sad before them was almost too great, but he had to remind himself that recruitment was already low, they needed everyone they could get. Finally Rosier stood and walked closer to the pathetic excuse for an army.

"My children, we have a problem," he began, his voice barely above a whisper. "You have failed us. You have failed our cause. You have failed Lord Voldemort. We have come together because we all believe in something that is bigger then us, bigger then the Minister, bigger then our lives. And yet, it seems that there is someone amongst us who doesn't feel that way. Somehow the Ministry found out about our raid and was able to stop it, the only saving grace is that they are stupid then you are. I hope that they found out through an accidental comment or pure luck and not because one of you tipped them off. We do not suffer traitors and if we are infected by one, we will find him or her and your death will not be quick." Rosier stopped in front of a nervous looking man, whose bald head was shiny with a thin layer of sweat. "Maybe it was you Brother Bennett. I know for a fact you're about as stupid as they come and easily bought. Tell me, are you our leak?" Before Bennett could answer Yaxley came up silently behind Rosier and aimed his wand at Bennett. He yelled crucio and Bennett fell on the floor twitching and screaming for Mercy.

"What was that Brother Bennett? You want more, well if you insister. Brother, if you will," Rosier said, watching with glee as Yaxley screamed crucio once more. Bennetts fingers started to bleed as he clawed at the floor, trying anything to get the pain to stop. His screams turned more animalistic as he writhed on the floor.

"Enough! Avada Kedavra," Rosier shouted, the room filling with green light for an instant and suddenly Bennetts body was still. "Let that serve as an example to you all. Seeing as we can't prove who was the source, you will all have to be punished. But don't worry, your punishments will be less painful then Bennetts. At least for you." Rosier paused to look out at his captive audience while Yaxley signaled to the sixteen Death Eaters, who then disapperated in pairs.

"I hope you stock of the things you hold dear this morning, because as of right now, something you consider important is being destroyed, just as our plans were destroyed. When we find out who was the leak, and I promise you we will, you will suffer the full extent of our power. We will be watching you all closely. should any of you consult the Ministry after leaving here, you, your family and your friends will die. Do you understand me? Remember blood purity, remember Lord Voldemort," Rosier finished, moments later he and Yaxley disapperated leaving the remaining seven to contimplate their fate.

[Auror Shacklebolt, Minister Whirlington, Assistant to the Minister Montague]

Gawain Robards paced in front of his desk, stopping every so often to look at the board he had connecting all the suspect Death Eater attacks. He enjoyed his job as Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. It wasn't always fun, but it was always a challenge. And his support staff was great; he trusted Shacklebolt with his life. Working with Shacklebolt when he was senior auror and Robards was Head of the Aurors, was extremely rewarding. And Robards knew it was time for him to cut the bureaucracy and get the Minister and Shacklebolt together to figure this out. He wasn't looking forward to this becoming another war. Heaving a sigh, Robards sat down at his desk and drafted a memo.

To: Minister Cynthia Whirlington, Auror Kingsley Shacklebolt, Head of the Aurors
CC: Owyn Montague, Assistant to the Minister
BCC: Gawain Robards, Head of Magical Law Enforcement Department

I have reserved the backroom at the Thundering Dragon Pub in Hogsmeade for seven this evening. Please attend if you are able. We have important things to discuss and at this time and I believe a neutral place is best.

Gawain Robards

Head of Magical Law Enforcement
Ministry Floo 202

Robards sent out the memo and gathered his things, apparating to the room at the pub.

Rosier arrived ahead of time putting up all the necessary wards. It had taken him months to find the perfect spot. He wasn't going to be sentimental like the Dark Lord. Not that he would ever question him to his face, but meeting in cemetary was stupid and risky. And Selwyn was an idiot to convince them that his manor was the perfect meeting place. No. They needed someplace remote. Someplace that had nooks to hide and even more important had no magical connections at all. Rosier found the perfect place in Northern England some abandoned Abbey that gave tours during the day. Idiot muggles. Paying to see the remains of some dead building. Their stupidity mad him ill. They all deserved death, long torturous death. He checked his watch and quickly finished the wards. The two women would be here soon and their meeting had to be protected.

[Ministry Ballroom]
[Valentine's Day night]
[Everyone!]

Workers, driven by Hannah and the rest of the committee, worked for days to get the Ministry Ballroom just right. The rows and rows of food featured ever delicacy possible, from roast duck to individual three layer chocolate cakes. Every food that a guest could imagine, the committee made sure it was provided. A team of photographers were called in to wander around and take pictures, so guests could remember their night. The tables were small and intimate, only seating four people. A band played near the dance floor, a mixture of period and modern music. Thrones sat off to the side of the stage, waiting for the Queen of Hearts to be chosen.

((This will be open for days, pretty much until we get bored of it. Have fun, enjoy the ball! And remember, we encourage mistaken identities!))

[Midday backdated to lock down]
This morning at approximately 5am two aurors were abducted at the ministry. While the names have been with held, they have just informed us that Auror Ginny Weasley and Auror Cadet Cho Chang were the abductees. It has also been announced that Auror Frank James died in the attack, but not before he was able to provide some information that lead to the lockdown. Our sources at the Ministry will not say who might be involved or if there were any notes left or ransom demands made. There is talk that this could be connected to a case that the aurors have been working on for quite sometime. They have yet to release the lockdown in the Ministry and Diagon Alley and encourage anyone who does not need to be in either place to not apparate or floo in. Sources say they can't confirm what time the lock down will be lifted, but they are hoping for nine in the evening. We have tried to reach the Minister and Senior Auror Kingsley Shacklebolt, but unfortunately they are unable to comment at the time.

This is a broadcast of the emergency WWN, Diagon Alley and The Ministry are under lockdown. I repeat Diagon Alley and The Ministry are in lockdown. While we do not have many details at the time, we do know that a kidnapping has taken place. We do not know who was taken or from where, just that someone has been taken. Oh, wait, according to what someone just handed me, sources are saying two people have been taken, although they are withholding named until the families can be contacted. Again, Diagon Alley and the Ministry are under lockdown. More information to follow.

[anyone, attn: Aurors]

Harry walked into the auror department with a look of determination on his face and an arm full of red roses. It had taken a chat with Evelyn and a week of solitude in the flat to finally come to his senses. He loved Ginny and there was no doubt that she was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. It had been slow in coming but he was sure of his decision; something he couldn't say even a week ago. Harry didn't really want to declare his love at work, but a few days earlier their case took an interesting turn when they started hearing whispers that their group of robbers might be part of a bigger plot. He and Evelyn spent every day working until the middle of the night, while Cho and Ginny always started early, around four or five in the morning. It had been two solid weeks since he had seen either of them for more then five minutes at a time.

He walked into their division keeping his eyes focused on the door to Ginny's office. He knew that the second he looked over at Cho's desk she would want an explanation, and he didn't want to stop. Without bothering to knock he opened Ginny's door and was about to say her name when he saw something hanging in the middle of her office. Fear gripped him and his blood turned to ice; he didn't even notice that he dropped the roses and had grabbed his wand. He was completly focused on the Dark Mark that hung above her desk. Harry tore his eyes away from the mark and looked around her office, noticing the blood on her desk, the over turned chair, the papers that littter the floor, all the while screaming Cho's name. He tried not to touch anything, but searched quickly for a clue as to where Ginny might be or what happened.

"CHO! Cho! Oh Merlin, Cho where are you," he cried. Harry ran out of Ginny's office to get Cho, only to see a second Dark Mark, this one hanging over Cho's desk. The scene was almost the same as Ginny's office and it was clear there had been a struggle. For the first time he noticed the scorch marks on the walls from the hexes. He was so scared he didn't know what to do, owl Kingsley? Alert the Minister? It felt like hours had passed since he walked into their division, but he knew it had only been a minute. And every second that went by was a precious moment lost. Harry was about to send out a patronus when he heard a cough. He ran toward the cough, noticing for the first time that he was holding his wand, though he didn't remember grabbing it. The coughing grew worse and wetter until Harry finally found one of his fellow aurors, Frank, in the back of the room clearly cut with Sectumsempra . Harry started to speak when Frank cut him off.

"It's only been ten, fifteen minutes at the most," he choked out, flecks of blood spraying out of his mouth.

That was all Harry needed to hear; he ran to the dusty cobweb covered blue shiny box and muttered a spell that everyone thought was useless. The box turned bright red and started flashing in sync with the red lights that appeared from the ceiling throughout the Ministry. The voice from the elevator suddenly covered Frank's wet coughs chanting,"We are in lock down. The ministry and Diagon Alley are in lock down. Please get to your secure locations and wait for instructions."

As Harry ran back to Frank he noticed an envelope with his name in an elaborate script. He quickly grabbed it and knelt next to Frank, fruitlessly applying pressure to Frank's wound. Using his teeth he opened the envelope, and watched three things fall out; the locket he gave Ginny for Christmas, a Ravenclaw ring that Cho always wore and a note. He picked up the note and time suddenly seemed to stop as he read the three words printed on the small piece of parchement, "Missing something Potter?"

Lose your face, lose your name, then get fitted for a suit of flame [Dec. 14th, 2008|10:32 pm]

[The Ministry]
[Monday morning]
[Umbridge, Rosier]

Pansy was a little confused. She and Dolores had stayed in touch after the Ministry purged all the "suspicious" purebloods, but she never visited her office. And being summoned to her office bothered her even more. Pansy reread the note, for what seemed like the twentieth time as she rode down the elevator to Dolores' office, only looking up when the elevator dinged on her floor. She stepped out and looked around, it still looked the same as it did when she worked there, it was like no time had passed. Pansy made her way to Dolores' assistant who led her into her office, assuring her that Dolores would be along soon. She sat in an overly pink armchair and started looking around the room, only to be distracted by all of the cats staring back at her from the plates. It wasn't long before she heard the door open and Dolores enter.

"Pansy, dear, sorry I'm late. That idiot of a Minister is driving me crazy."

"No, that's quite alright, I was just admiring your plate collection," she replied as she turned to look at Dolores. Pansy watched Dolores put charms up around the room, and she found herself suddenly suspicous of the meeting.

Dolores walked over and sat in the matching chair next to Pansy. "I want to thank you for everything you've done for the campaign. I know the chances are slim, but I think we've raised some awareness to our cause. I think we've shown that the purebloods will not go quietly into the night."

"Of course Dolores, you know I fully support you. We have the same values and views, even if they aren't popular anymore. You have my loyalty."

"Do I? I would hope so, I have something very important to talk to you about," the smile faded from Dolores' face. The kittens seemed to understand the change in the atmosphere, they all stopped moving, watching the two women.

"Of course you do. And I don't give my loyalty easily."

"I know. You're loyalty to the Dark Lord never wavered even after he kidnapped you," Dolores commented, pouring them both a cup of tea.

Pansy's eyes flashed at the door as if she was expecting someone to walk in.

"Don't worry Pansy, I would not have brought it up if I wasn't sure we were safe."

"Yes, the Dark Lord always has my loyalty," Pansy admitted quietly. "Even in death."

"And if someone asked you to become a more active member in his fight for purity," Dolores asked, watching Pansy closely.

"I would be more honored then I could ever put into words," Pansy answered.

Pansy was so wrapped up in what Dolores was saying she didn't see someone disillusion themselves in the corner.

"I knew I could count on my niece to make the correct decision," Rosier said moving toward Pansy.

She gasped loudly, jumping out of her seat. "Uncle! But you're dead!"

"No, I'm very much alive. Sit back down girl, we have plans to discuss."

It was in a dimly-lit room, located far outside the reach of the British Ministry, that the three men ‎stood, their faces shadowed and obscured by the hoods of long black cloaks fronted by ‎masquerade-like white masks, and discussed their plans. A dead fireplace stood motionless to the ‎left; to the right, a door, which had not been opened in years.

‎“It’s been three years, Yaxley. Three years, and we are still waiting like pigs before the axe for a ‎new Dark Lord to arise and lead us.”‎

Yaxley exhaled slowly, pinching the bridge of his nose, and looked at Gyffroes Selwyn. “And ‎what would you like us to do? The world believes us all to be dead; and you know that if we had ‎not acted as quickly as we did, we would be.”‎

Selwyn hissed, vividly remembering that event. “So is Potter, but he’s free to walk around and ‎shag that bloodtraitor as much as he pleases, while we’ve remained trapped in this so-called house ‎for three years.”‎

‎“You are in no position to comment about the Potter infidel, Selwyn.” Evan Rosier crossed the ‎room, pausing in the center. “We are lucky to still be alive; in part, it is our collective responsibility ‎that Malfoy’s son unfortunately cost us nearly everything we have.”‎

‎“The boy wasn’t prepared—” He was interrupted when Selwyn slammed the end of his cane against ‎the marble floor. ‎

‎“Enough! Look at what he’s done to us, to his Brothers.” Rosier seethed. “Everything we have ‎worked so hard for was destroyed because of his own ignorance and his unwillingness to listen to ‎those more experienced than himself.”‎

Selwyn growled under his breath, but kept silent. Rosier had kept the few remaining Death Eaters ‎on a tight leash these past three years. His hair had grown thin, his frame skeletal, and his mind ‎weary. He tried to change the topic of the conversation. “If we could finally get rid of Potter, we ‎could easily take over the Ministry. Dolores and the Parkinson girl will be sympathetic to our ‎cause; perhaps she can cajole Flint and Nott into taking it up as well. Greengrass, I don’t know ‎about her.”‎

Yaxley took a long drag of his cigarette. “And Malfoy’s half-wit clone?”‎

‎“He will not block our progress,” Rosier said. “We might as well count him among the Hufflepuffs ‎for as useful as he is.”‎

‎“I heard Diggory is in town again,” Yaxley said. “And Montague is snogging the Abbott woman.”‎

‎“No matter,” Rosier said with distaste. “Montague is a traitor, and Diggory; he’s not a threat. We ‎obliterated him last time; it is mere luck that he is alive again. Selwyn, how do you intend to lure ‎Potter into our grasp? The boy’s no Hufflepuff; it’ll take more than a couple mistaken street signs ‎to bring him here.”‎

Selwyn felt the burning pressure of Rosier’s cold gaze, and lowered his head, again silent for a long ‎duration. Finally, he spoke. “We take those closest to him. He’ll have to come rescue them.”‎

Yaxley blew out a long stream of smoke. “Who would that be?”‎

The flickering light from the candle posts on the wall cast shadows on Selwyn’s face that only ‎further illuminated the sinister expression, as he began to speak… ‎

The doors to the Ministry Ballroom opened at precisely 5pm, with a butler standing by the door and politely allowing anyone with an invite to enter and find their seats. The room comfortably fit 430 people. At either side of the ballroom sat the dinner buffets, and the dessert buffets would replace them at a later point in the night once everybody had eaten their fill of dinner. Minister Ponter stood off to the side, speaking with some other Ministry officials, as the guests began pouring in.

Quidditch League Ball 2000 [Jul. 5th, 2008|06:08 pm]
o2c_mod_device
A red carpet led up to a grand stone building where doormen checked invitations and held the door open for entering guests. At the top of a marble staircase double doors opened into a large ballroom. Small tables were ranged around the dance floor and the walls were hung with tapestries of Quidditch team emblems. At the head of the room was a stage where the orchestra would play and awards would later be presented. The tables were decorated in gold, and the outfits of the servers matched the table settings. Quidditch related ice sculptures dotted and over the dance floor the ceiling was charmed to drop golden stars that dissipated when they reached the floor. At six-thirty the first guests were allowed in and seated at their tables.
