Normally I'm not one to toot my own horn, but toot toot. Having a 'day job' outside of the music industry where I can still be hella creative is the best. What's up party people! The name is Elijah. A lot of you know my siblings Paris and Vicky and after a lot of pestering by my sister especially here I am.
When I'm not doing band stuff -- more on that in a second -- you'll find me at Dolce Confessions as I'm one of the bakers there. If you can dream it; I can bake it. Seriously. My personal favorites are donuts (yes I made the ones up above) and straight up regular sugar cookies. Halloween and Christmas cookies taste the best and are the most fun to decorate. Stop in some time and let me or one of my coworkers satisfy your sweet tooth. And make sure to give my boss Samie all of the love. She's a gem. ♥
Wah. Normally I'm not so long winded but hey it is what it is right. Thanks if you're still reading this! So that band stuff I was talking about! I'm the lead singer of a pop punk band called Lacuna. We just wrapped up recording our latest album at The Cutting Room this spring before popping on Warped Tour. It's going to drop November 5th which is totally intentional because hello V for Vendetta has a lot of ties to our album content.
This album is a step in a different direction sound wise for us. I'm not going to give too much of it away but basically we're going to be focusing on the sad state of the world we're in AND shining a big spotlight on mental health awareness. I am diagnosed with generalized anxiety + depression disorders on top of suffering from panic attacks. I'm fortunate enough that medical marijuana and medication work for me, but I still have my moments. For those of you who maybe didn't get to go to Warped tour there was a guitarist from another band who called me out on Twitter for being open about these challenges that I face because I 'get to do something other people dream of doing' and basically that I should shut the fuck up and get over myself. Naturally I was very vocal about my response. So even though I'm getting to know some of you please know that I have your back. Just reach out to me.
