Hello, lovelies. Thanks for having me. I'm Laele. I am an old friend of Ruin's. I played V:TM tabletop WAY back last century, so I am bit behind on the current goings on. But the game looks so much fun.

As for my characters so far (there will be more, I am an unapologetic altaholic), I have two so far.

This lovely boy is Joseph Morvell, the Marquess of Hell's Kitchen. He's been around New York City for about 18 years and supported Lucian's revolt because Brujah. He strongly supports shaking up the status quo every once and awhile. Keeps things fresh.

He's pretty well known in both court and the city itself. To the everyday citizens of New York, he's an eccentric, wealthy theater owner who will put anything on the stage that can be remotely called art. In court, he's known for alarmingly cheerful and easy going and saying the quiet part out loud when nobody else will.

Joseph owns an independent theater in Clinton called the Paramour. He's a longtime patron of the arts and revolutionaries. Most of his retinue of blood dolls, ghouls and retainers fall into one category or the other or both. He's extremely social and as a Hellene Brujah, is well educated, well traveled, and well read.

My other bebe is [info]sparksjoy Chiyu Umeda a soon-to-be ghoul. She's been a blood doll for a couple of years and when Connie decided he wanted a ghoul and started 'interviewing' she jumped at the chance. She knows he's mad and so are all of the other Malks who live with him, but being a ghoul is a step up to being a blood doll.

Chiyu is a obsessive about most things. She craves attention and approval and is determined to be the best ghoul ever. She has no idea how in over her head she's in. Muahaha

Hiii! Dani here. So we've talked. Which feel free to bug me anytime about game things or to chatter about others things as well. I'm always invisible (but usually floating around somewhere) accept during D&D games but I'm pokable then as well (and will totally tell you everything that is currently happening at the moment. Sitting atop a flying broom over the ocean while mocking giant sharks to help out sea elves? Check.)

So I've got 4. Because I too am an addict and the reason we have a character limit. *whispers* I'm surprised I managed to get upping the limit to 4 past my co-mod. >.>

First of all, I have Amadeus [info]sanguinemagic who is my Tremere and our lovely Sheriff. Him and Joseph are likely to know each other given their time in New York and with both the position that Amadeus held in the past and does now as well. He supported Lucian as well so there's also that. Of course, he did it for completely different reasons but that hardly matters does it? He's pretty easy to get along with most of the time unless you piss him off then you find out how deadly and devious he really is.

Chiyu, I'm sure they'll randomly run across each other at some point because Amadeus always seems to run across everyone. He's my social bb other he means to or not.

I have Anastasia [info]sharpthornes who is the current keeper of Elysium and a Toreador but I've been struggling with her as of late and may be toying with somethings happening so we'll just move on for now. >.>

Julian [info]synapticstatic (hmm, wonder where that username came from >.>) who is my Malk and the one Chiyu will be having to deal with. He promises to try and not mess directly with her mind when he's in a mood but we'll see how that goes. Kine are just so easy to mess with. He's likely to end up running into Joseph as well since he always ends up finding himself getting pulled into matters of courtly intrigue even if it's usually as someone's pawn.

Finally, I have Rook here who is my newest. He's my raven shaped Gangrel who is trying to just avoid everything going on and other Kindred as well but we'll see how well that works out for him. Clearly he and Connie need to set up ghoul playdates between Chiyu and James.

Hello, Dani. Yes, I remember. I never forget an old gamer like myself. I might have to hold you to D&D blow by blow. Quarantine has put my D&D games on hold sadly and I am missing my fix.

Ah, I would be another one of those 'Give me a character limit or I will app all of them' players. It's only a matter of time before I have four.

Amadeus - I think Joseph has a healthy respect for Amadeus. Especially because he's fabulous and effective. A rare and magnificent combination. Now trust? Absolutely not. But he knows Amadeus doesn't trust him either. Professional understanding. The private box in the theater is open to him and his beau any time they like.

The only real point of contention might be Joseph's little bunch of pet Anarchs. But if they give him any valuable information, he'll make sure it ends up being whispered into Amadeus' ears. That's what they're good for, after all. Besides weeding out neonates who probably should have been more careful.

Chiyu hopes to never cross the sheriff, even if he's pretty cool. That being said, since she's hanging out with the Malks, it's probably inevitable.

Anastasia - Joseph generally gets along with Toreador (for obvious reasons) and since she keeps the Elysium, he prefers to be on friendly terms. He'll leave the really loud retainers at home when he visits. Not that he's not the loudest of the bunch. Expect over the top flattery. Joseph is a social butterfly and loves a good show.

Chiyu used to hang out at the Blue Velvet. So she'd be known to Anastasia. But moving on.

Julian - Ah yes, well, I fully suspect she'll be as insane as they are by the first week being up. She's already on her way with her obsessive personality. So it'll be fun.

Joseph is a social butterfly and wants to know everybody. He goes out of his way to cultivate allies without trying to be political about it. Mostly, he just likes a good time. And Malks keep things interesting by default. You have to be really stupid or really destructive to his interests to get on his bad side. I don't see Julian doing this.

Rook - Chiyu will be fascinated and weirded out by Gangrel. But yeah, she'll be eager to talk to James so she can learn the ropes of being a good ghoul.

Joseph isn't into body art himself, but probably has a ghoul or retainer or blood doll who is. They might cross paths.

Oh my. I can't imagine trying to go through quarantine without my D&D. We actually stopped meeting at the game store two weeks before official lockdown because my group was worried about me (very immunocompromised) getting it. So we started playing online using Discord/Roll20. Even though the game store is open again, we're continuing to play online since still an issue for me to be around people and my brother by choice just moved an hour away for law school and just don't separate the two of us. But I am more than happy to provide play by plays and even screenshots!

As long as those Anarchs are behaving, Amadeus is okay with it. He too usually uses out of the box and rather questionable sources for information at times so he completely understands Joseph doing it. And if Joseph masses on information than all the better.

And oh yeah, Amadeus isn't silly enough to trust anyone. The only one who he does is Ariel and that's just because he's a complete goner there. But even his allies who he holds a healthy respect for he never actually trusts and would never dream of them trusting him. Not if they're smart. And if they weren't smart, he wouldn't consider them worth his time. So they probably get along beautifully in that regard.

It is always good to have the Lady of Elysium on one's side.

Yeah, I don't see how anyone could hang on at the Malk house and not go crazy. Especially with the way Connie and Julian pick up on things or go on. Cian likely the sanest of the bunch which is funny since he's the oldest and isn't always himself half the time. But Julian was a ghoul once himself so he'll be respectful and can probably even answer some questions.

I don't plan Chiyu. Especially since Rook usually acts more raven than man so that might weird her out a bit.

And as for him and Joseph, there's always the shared connection of Ash as well.

My husband got a Roll20 sub, he's just been busy with everything, especially since he found a new job. Hopefully, we'll be able to use it soon. We were the ones who hosted the group, but with me and my son both in the highest risk group...well, we're in quarantine until Phase 4.

The Anarchs behave or they get run out in on rail. Joseph may have his issues with the Elders and their traditions, but he doesn't abide any bullshit in his domain. They have their little patch of turf and so long as they stay in it and feed him info, they can stay. That has been made abundantly clear. Probably with broken bits for emphasis.

Joseph knows what's it like to be that devoted. He's totally happy for them and a little jealous. <3

Yeah, actually, I'm less worried about Chiyu's safety than her sanity. But hey, if she gets her dream, she'll be a Malkavan and so well, that's a moot point. For now, she'll do her best.

Rook will definitely weird her out, but ravens are far less frightening than wolves. So likely more curiosity.

Yes, Joseph wants to meet Ash's new beau. Partially because he's fond of Ash and partially because he's wildly curious.

We started out as an Adventurer's League group, thus the game store. But this kind of solidified us into a regular group. ROl20 is...alright. I just miss my dice. I had a real dice buying problem that quarantine fixed because I'm like who knows when I'll ever get to roll them again. Roll20 hates me at times though. I haven't figured out how to shame digital dice again. And I feel ya. I can't go out and do anything either. I'm tired of my socialization being going to doctor appointments.

Julian would very much be like why would you want to be a Malk. That will completely boggle his mind.

Rook agrees with her that ravens are far less frightening than wolves.

My socialization is online. My doctor doesn't want me coming in unless it's an emergency. I miss my group. But luckily, we can hang out here at least.

Chiyu wants to be a vampire. I don't think she realizes exactly what that entails. Especially a Malkavian

Hi~ Hello! I'm Minty and I'm pretty excited to have you here :D I have four babies here in game and in order-

Garnet ([info]damenocturne) is my Toreador. Young, a little dumb and a little love sick for a sire that doesn't really care for her. She's had a rough go of it lately but she makes really beautiful jewelry. Some would say stuff that would be perfect on stage? :P She also sometimes goes to visit places where blood dolls would be, so it's possible she at least knows of Chiyu?

Rhys (here) is my Tremere. Baby, 'lost boy', and currently learning the world is harder than he thought it would be. He's technically grounded (mostly from using magic) but he needs more to do, to read, to learn. Being in the public eye is one of his worst nightmares (currently) but he has a photographic memory?

Cian ([info]cracked_mirror) is my Malkavian. Old man, bored thief, and into living with Connie. He's a little cold quiet in his 'normal' personality but he's not mean. He has also kind of taken it upon himself to protect most of the other Malks that he knows after finding Connie in a not so okay state. He's a lot of fun after he feeds, though - he's always different for about half the night.

James ([info]neonlit) is my ghoul. Dramatic, tattoo artist, manager at the shop. Maybe an actor at some point? He hasn't ever really had an interest in hanging out with other ghouls before moving to NYC but he's changing his mind. If Chiyu has questions? He's good for answers. He's served Mab and Rook for over a decade now.

Garnet - There is a very good chance she knows Chiyu. Chiyu liked to stand out among the blood dolls.

Joseph is always looking for artists to patronize. He loves to have all of the accessories. So yes, for himself, for the theater, for his retainers, anyone he's currently trying to woo. He's a good benefactor to have.

Rhys - Not sure if he's going to run into Chiyu much. Depends on how things go in Malk Town.

But I gotta say, when I looked at Rhys' bio, Joseph perked up. He has a weakness for sweet, shy curly haired boys. He would definitely cozy up to Rhys and try to woo him.

Cian - It might be a good idea for Cian to sit Chiyu down and explain reality to her. She could definitely use some guidance. She'll be all for doing what she can to protect Connie.

I am not certain he'd want to do much with Joseph. He's loud, bawdy, and cheerful. I can see that getting on poor Cian's nerves. Unless he's fed and then they'll probably get on like house on fire because Joseph is a total party boy.

James - Chiyu will definitely want to meet James. And pepper him with a million questions. 'Teach me, sensei' and all

Joseph tries to be careful with other Kindred's ghouls because it is incredibly bad manners to break one. But auditions are open to everybody and he learned long ago talent comes in many forms.

Someone who wants to catch the eye? Sounds like Garnet's cup of tea. She loves a challenge, too, so if Joseph runs across anything he wants she's all over it. Being a Tore, she really gets into the creative process start to finish.

Rhys is currently avoiding the Malkavian camp so it's probably not meant to be, honestly. The last time he ran into one, it didn't go so well for him. He's not going to know what to do with himself if someone tries to cozy up or woo him. I will not stop you whatsoever with that one~

Cian on the other hand - if you go down a few threads (a lot) there's one where he is -uh- a party animal. He only gets handsy with the Malks though, it seems lmao. As for Chiyu, he'll probably be protective over her, too, after a time but they can be the protective task force?

I don't know what that will do to his ego but yes, sensei it is! Bad manners, indeed. He'd have to worry over his head if he did so with this one, but James is tough. Mostly.

Chiyu totally plays up the kawaii doll thing.

Joseph doesn't so much ask for things as throw an idea at an artist and see what they come up with. He isn't about to tell an artist how to do their job.

Yeah, I imagine the Malks are terrifying for him. As for Joseph, he's very overwhelming. But hopefully in the best way possible. I will not resist his urges then.

Chiyu will appreciate the protectiveness, but yes, united front of protection for all of them. Plus she'll fuss over him too.

She's thrilled because she has no idea what she's doing and she wants to do it well.

It's more the fact that his retinue can get a little rowdy and well, Brujah ghouls can forget their own strength at times.

Tris wasn't the best time for him. Warning bells and everything. I feel like everyone is overwhelming for him at times? But to be honest, he can be overwhelming, too.

Cian is not going to know what to do about that. He's not used to people fussing over him and he's not used to having ghouls around, either. He'd not that hard to take care of?

I mean, James tried to tell both of his masters that he could fight vampires if he wanted to?

I imagine not. Joseph will be happy to soothe him. He's a good protector/patron sort.

Joseph would prefer he not test that theory with any of his ghouls. It's messy and awkward to explain.

Hi and welcome to the game. :) I'm Sam and so far I only have one character, which is this boi right here. Tristian is a young Malkavian who actually used to be an art history major before the madness scrubbed a lot of his human identity away. He is vain and self-centred, dramatic and attention seeking, completely obsessed with his own aesthetic and loves indulging in flirty banter. He's also incredibly chatty and tactile so there is potential for them to get along. Maybe.

As for Chiyu, Tris might be a tiiiiiny bit jealous since she is a human sharing a house with both his lover (Cian) and his vampy sibling (Julian) whilst he is living in Brooklyn paying ridiculous rent on a 1 bed apartment which he could be spending on fancy coats and boots and other frivolous things. He also has an NPC ghoul called Madeleine but her welfare isn't high on his list of priorities, and he works at the Blue Velvet so it's very likely Chiyu has seen him behind the bar at some point as well.

Joseph is one of the main patrons of the arts in the city. Well, he is in every city he's ever lived in. I imagine he and Tristan will encounter each other. I apologize in advanced for truth bomb he decides to drop on the boy. Joseph is a Brujah. He may be a Hellene, but he's still a Brujah.

Chiyu is going to hide behind Cian and Connie if Tristan is mean to her. And possibly stick out her tongue at him while doing it.

Typo 'Truth bombs' was what I meant. As in his unvarnished opinions. Joseph isn't inclined to keep them to himself. He's also an old school aesthete and very much believes in 'art for the sake of art' and thinks art critics are worse for the art world than wars. From Tristan's posts on the network, he and Joseph will disagree strongly on art.

Chiyu isn't looking for trouble, so as long as he's not directly mean or starts hurtful rumors she's fine with being hated from a distance.

Chiyu is also very needy. Hence why she jumped at the chance to be Connie's ghoul.

she is new hound, which she finds kind of a not cute term, but it means she gets to do stuff besides stock bookshelves, she's cool with it. she can be rude, but she can also be nice. it's hit or miss. i'm always open for randomness. welcome!

Hey Kitty,

Joseph is also rude and nice so he doesn't see that as a problem. He prefers to be in good with the sheriff and his posse (he was a hound in his younger days) so as long as he isn't a complete dick to him and his than he's fine.

I'm not sure how much Chiyu is gonna get out and about, she's living with the Madmen right now.

I'm Lena and I've got just the one. I've never played V:tM so have no fear, I will always be behind everyone.

Micah here is the Duke of Yorkville so I imagine he'd have more to do with Joseph because of all the politicking. Things are Happening in Ventrue circles and I fully expect Joseph to know about it at least through the grapevine. How you'd like them to behave towards each other is entirely up to you! I think Micah's generally very diplomatic and cordial to most everyone at court though tbh. He's also a businessman and owner of several hotels and clubs in the area. Some extremely well-known amongst Kindred of course. And he's also recently worked with Anastasia to legalise the CS sorta. So his influence only gets greater.

I don't have anything off the top of my head for Chiyu. But if you do, let me know!

Yes, Joseph is aware of the little drama playing out in Ventrue circles and is watching with interest. As for how they get along publicly, Joseph is loud and lively, and generally gets along with everybody unless they give him a reason not to.

Unless Micah routinely pulls rank on him or interferes directly in his business, I don't see them having a problem with each other. Joseph can play fast and loose with the traditions from time to time, but Brujah.

A Ventrue making alliances to consolidate and increase their influence? You don't say? Seriously though, Joseph expects it. Unless Micah tries to muscle him out or gets on his case about things, he's unmoved by a high ranking Ventrue elbowing his way to the front of the line. It's the way of things.
