Amadeus didn't even bother to ask what Ariel was looking for but instead just offered "Try his home office."
A moment later he spun back around and stared at the nightstand as he realized what he hadn't seen sitting there. "There's no phone there." Even Kindred were attached to their phones as much as kine, it was the sad truth of things. Well, maybe not those who refused to admit that the world had moved on and there were such things as phones, but those as high up at Alex would have used one. Ariel had done checked under the bed so it hadn't gotten knocked down under there.
Digging into his pocket, Amadeus pulled out his own phone and pulled up the contact for Alex. He had all of the Primogen's numbers saved. It was easier to call it then it was for them to tear apart the house—not when he knew the Gangrel's ears had a better chance of picking up the sound if the phone was still in the house somewhere.
