If Amadeus actually breathed he would have sighed. He could have extended a bit of Blood in order to breathe so he could do so but right now he didn't need to be wasting power on frivolous things such as that. Even if he didn't like Ariel's thinking because it was matching up with his own. Instead, he just frowned. "Maya's the youngest of the Primogen council but she's always gotten along well enough with everyone else and I think out of all of them, Alex has always been more inclined to believe the things Maya saw. Except for maybe Sethius."
"Word has it that Alex was on the fence about what to do about the network." Still frowning, Amadeus leaned over the body of the Primogen to see the stab wounds better. With Kindred strength, one couldn't narrow it down to the sex of the one who wielded the knife, especially when he had heard of cases of Malkavian rage that were close to that of a Brujah. Whoever had wielded the knife had driven it in deeply but had down so wildly. If the knife had hit the right place the first time, which wouldn't have been hard given the fact that Alex had likely been asleep when first attacked, there wouldn't have been a need for multiple tries. "But how would she have been up moving around that early in the day. Maya's not much older than you. Ten. Twenty years older maybe."
Amadeus straightened back up and looked over at Ariel. "You sure about the whole blood magic thing not bothering you because if you're not, you may want to go in the other room."
