Amadeus studied Rhys has he answered and after a moment gave a nod. It always seemed when he managed to throw him off balance that he managed to get a real glimpse of what was underneath. The more he managed to get the young Tremere to speak, the more he could see of the mind that Henry had seen. It was such traits as a keen mind that normally the Tremere turned one for, but it wouldn't be the first time that one had turned someone because of love or passion. Those cases normally didn't end well, but it was still known to happen. Why Henry hadn't waited a few more years and trained him in the meantime—well, that was a question only Henry could answer and Amadeus supposed he'd not be getting an answer there anytime soon.
"You know, you don't have to be afraid to ask the questions that I see building up in that head of yours," Amadeus pointed out. So far he had been doing most of the asking. True, he needed to know just were Rhys was with things so that he could figure out where to start in on teaching him. So far the answer was the absolute beginning. For a moment the Elder had to wonder what it would have been like if Marisol had disappeared so soon after Embracing him. Considering the times, he probably would have been lucky to have discovered other Kindred before meeting his final death.
Other questions Amadeus asked were to just try and figure things out. He knew how old Rhys was and that Ariel had been about the same age when turned, but the fledgling just seemed so much younger. It wasn't just his appearance, though that did have something to do with it, but it was his manner as well. If there was a fire underneath of it all, the elder Tremere planned on finding it and drawing it out. "I promise I won't bite if you do."
