Latin seemed really common from what he could tell and some of the words he even recognized. Even so, it was nowhere near the level of understanding more than that and his sire had aimed to fix that. If he'd been here instead of Amadeus, that was. So many things he was supposed to be learning right now, it seemed, and this other person was stuck with the responsibility of him for now. "I don't think they have Latin either.." The pauses were lesser than they were before, the hesitations fading away the more they talked about learning.
Of course, the display of the cup floating across the room and seemingly washing itself didn't help that for a moment, surprise taking over his entire face and posture. How had he made that cup just fly out of his fingers like that? Would he be able to do that, too, someday? Wide eyes were fixed on the cup until the water stopped, his lips parted to ask how in the world he'd done that but Amadeus was speaking again. Asking questions Rhys would have never, not in a million years, expected him to ask. Was that something important? Or just something he needed to know?
With how young he was, and the fresh blood in his system, there was a very light, but noticeable blush burning under his eyes and ears. "Lovers?" It was true that Rhys had had a little, tiny crush on his sire but what had grabbed him more was definitely something else. "No, no. Not lovers." Now that his fingers were free, he clasped them behind his back, twisting and cracking as he continued. "Henry is the only person that challenged me in my whole life... I-I just floated around from subject to subject before, not really finding anything.. worth it." Why did he have to be like this? "Everything he brought me was interesting and I wanted more. I solved anything he threw at me.."
