Oh. Was he the only one that didn't know about what kind of party it was? His eyes shifted away and he started chewing at the inside corner of his lips, not looking at his lover for a moment. Just thinking about it for a moment. It kind of seemed a little more than obvious now. What the others there were doing wouldn't really concern them, and that was only confirmed when Joseph mentioned a private party, just the two of them. Would he be okay with that, even with the knowledge everyone would know why they were missing?
It would have bothered him, a few months ago, but he wasn't all that sure, now. Rhys guessed, if anything, there was really only one way to find out... right? With how well the older man knew him, maybe it wouldn't take all that long to forget there were other people. That was a whole other something to think about, later.
"It sounds like you're more interested..." The hand that had been captured slipped out of those fingers, only to rub along the side of his lover's jaw. He probably could be easily convinced to forget about the people around them, even their surroundings. Even their first kiss was enough to make him forget the two women that had been watching them with rapt attention. Not that that didn't embarrass him. Maybe, though, something good like that was worth forgetting anything else outside.
