Ariel had done his best to get out the door as quickly as possible. Unlike Rook, he couldn't just fly to the woods and he had given Amadeus a look that said 'don't say a fucking thing' because it would have seemed like he was overeager. It was just... Time constraints. Luckily, the sun was setting sooner and sooner. Autumn was the best time for this kind of thing.
He had beat traffic just enough - though had also nearly caused a couple of accidents weaving in and out between cars and lanes in a way that was likely very illegal. What were they going to do? Stop him? He looked like a fucking criminal on the back of his Harley with the leather jacket and numerous patches (that were mostly band logos but who knew that besides him?).
When he arrived, he had parked out of sight, covering the motorcycle with fallen branches to camouflage it - just in case they got stuck out in the woods in the day time. It hadn't taken much time at all to find Rook. For a moment, he had stayed just out of sight to watch him pacing. Interesting. He was nervous. Ariel shoved his hands into his jacket pockets as he emerged, the corner of his mouth perked up in a lopsided smile. "Explain away. We've got time."
