Which was a problem not knowing how it was going to react. It felt like there was a shift, but Rook couldn't be for sure until he let that part of himself take over. And that's where he needed help. Where he needed someone who could lay the wolf out flat if turned out it couldn't be controlled. Which is why he had turned to Ariel for help instead of anyone else, including Mab.
Besides, the idea of being able to run with another after so long held it's appeal.
Standing outside the Delaware Water Gap now, Rook was pacing. This could go okay or it could go really, really badly. And by really badly meant the wolf reacting violently to there being another wolf nearby and attacking Ariel. Or attacking Ariel and then running off to get stuck in the wolf's head. Or even just running off and getting stuck in the wolf's head and having to be hunted down and dragged back. Maybe this was a bad idea after all...
He stopped his pacing and looked at Ariel. "So maybe I should explain first before we do this? Or?"
