"Now we continue on," Amadeus said, voicing the same thoughts that Rhys was having. What else was there to do too? Final death had come to Henry and there would be no changing that. Nor was there anything to be done about it. Sires died and went unavenged all the time. There wasn't even a guarantee that anything notorious happened to the other Tremere. It could have been that Henry had simply gotten careless in whatever it was that he had been chasing after that made him leave Rhys' side.
"There's no reason for things to change other than the fact that now Rhys can let go and move on." As much as Rhys was changing he was currently still of little consequence among the Tremere, or even the court, for Sethius to pay attention to. He may encourage Amadeus to destroy him now that there was no longer a chance of finding Henry but that was doubtful since he was currently the lover of the Marquess of Hell's Kitchen. Better to let Amadeus continue with that mess than deal with it himself. "Rhys's remains my ward. Unless he decides he no longer wishes that." Amadeus's eyes moved to Rhys and he raised an eyebrow in question. In which case then the fledgling would become a ward of the chantry as they had discussed previously and he'd no longer be Amadeus's problem and he'd not be allowed to continue living with Joseph.
