As overprotective as Joseph was, he had absolutely no desire to be involved in a Tremere ritual. As he'd pointed out to Mab, he was reckless, not stupid. He was along purely for moral support and given the fact their Elysium had burnt down a little more than two weeks ago, to make certain the Tremere weren't disturbed.
He chuckled softly at Rhys' words and the kiss to his brow. Normally, he'd have pulled the young Tremere down for a proper kiss, but frankly, the sooner this was over the happier he'd be. "I'll be just outside," he said. Which was mostly for Rhys' comfort and not any threat to Amadeus. Now that the Tremere was actually paying attention to his apprentice, Joseph had little quarrel with the sheriff.
Joseph closed the door behind him as he stepped out. Finding a spot out of view from the street, he pulled out his phone and opened up his retinue's group chat. Like everyone else on the internet, it was mostly cat memes and arguments about inconsequential things. But it would be something to do while the Tremere tried to contact Henry.
