Julian really wasn't all that much harder to figure out. It was just because he did disappear when it happened that caused him to be for Chiyu. She had yet to see how he could get because he was going to Micah whenever he felt himself start to slip. And never did Micah push him away did he? Even in that last moment, Micah had caught him.
That choice he needed to make wasn't as actually as hard as he thought, was it?
He wasn't surprised to hear about Connie's outburst. The two of them were alike in their rage. Though Julian always lashed outward, never inward into self-harm, but it was all still there just the same. He and Connie were so very broken. Both of their minds already so very fragile to start with before being Embraced. Even Chiyu's own, if Julian had found her before Connie she was just the type he would have pushed until she broke. "It will happen again. And again. And again. Because that is our curse. Our madness. All you can do is what you did. Reach out and endure until it starts to work." It was more than most were willing to do.
"There may be easier ways to pull him back that he knows works if you talk to him about it. Ways that he knows will help calm the rage or pull him out of other states that you'll find him in sooner or later."
