It wasn't a surprise when Joseph said he knew, and maybe not when he said those feeling were returned, but there were definitely butterflies in his stomach. His arms tightened and once again, he hid his face into the other man's shoulder. Part of all of that dust up was his fault, even if Joseph tried to convince him otherwise, and it hurt to know just how upset the Brujah had gotten after. Had Rhys known, then, how he'd felt? Maybe? He knew there were worse things but even the slight chance of being left behind by the man in his arms was something he didn't want to think about again.
"I'm not going anywhere..." Unless something happened that was out of his control, Rhys knew he'd stay by Joseph's side. Pulling back slightly, hesitating, then going to look him in the face again, Rhys smiled, soft and genuine, before holding that face again. "You're stuck... With me." And some day, maybe soon, Rhys would be a power house in his own right. He'd needed Mab to show him that he had an actual back bone. He'd needed Joseph to show him he was worth it. "Thank you."
