It was all overwhelming, yes, but his entire unlife had been in one way or another. He really should be used to it all by now. Even so, Joseph was a completely different rodeo, wasn't he. He was often left dizzy and on a different level when he was with him, both in the bedroom and outside of it. Ever since meeting him, Rhys had felt and done things he hadn't ever thought he'd want to do. Almost losing him, and knowing as much, had really been too much and if he hadn't had all those people to help, he might have lost it a little.
That kiss was something he wanted to hold onto and never, ever let go of, but when it finally broke, he wrapped his arms around Joseph, tight. He didn't need to say anything, no, not after that, but he didn't want to lose his chance. Was it better, or worse, if he wasn't looking at him?
Swallowing again, the fledgling nuzzled his face against the side of his lover's. "I just.. I mean..." Why were words always his enemy? Once again, he wished he could be like everyone else and just talk when he needed to, without the hesitation it stutter. When he spoke again, his voice was quiet, even for kindred standards. "I... Love you." Some where, deep down, he knew Joseph would already know how he felt, but he was so very obvious about his emotions most of the time. Amadeus and the rest of the kindred around him read him like a book, but saying them out loud was something he needed to work on.
