Any emotion Rhys wanted to express right now wasn't going to offend Joseph. The last two nights had been hellish and the young Tremere had managed remarkably well.
Joseph smiled at the words and the kisses. "I'm very glad to be here," he replied cheekily. He suspected he knew what Rhys wanted to say, but also why he hesitated. It was still new and likely a bit frightening, because it was so overwhelming.
Joseph himself was overwhelming, he'd never argue to the contrary. He'd swooped in and taken over Rhys' entire life. Now granted, someone needed to because he'd been left to his own devices with no proper education and was of course doing poorly because of it. But beyond that, everything between them was happening so fast it like nearly made the young Tremere dizzy.
To say Joseph had been around the block a few times was an understatement. He was trying to be careful, not to push too much, let Rhys do things in his own time. But it was difficult considering how good it felt to just be with the younger Kindred.
Words might be a bit difficult for Rhys at the moment. It wasn't a problem. Joseph leaned in to kiss his lover again, still gentle and sweet. Expressing the tender feelings without words was easier, really.
