Joseph felt truly that Henry had seen the potential in Rhys. Just from seeing the fledgling work tirelessly with the magic he did know. Both the first night on his own and the one that just finished assisting Mab. He likely would be a powerful blood mage. Joseph was a bit wary, but he trusted Rhys far more than any of the other Tremere. And was very glad Amadeus had protected him from their clan.
"I wouldn't have blamed you if you did," Joseph assured him. "You still can if it'd make you feel better." He knew how dangerous what he'd done was and how badly injured he'd been. But it was what it was. It was very heartening to know Rhys had been so concerned he'd gotten angry.
That last statement got a true smile from Joseph. "Then I'll be doubly lucky to have you," he said. "You're already an angel of mercy, love. I can't wait to see their faces when they realize you've become a force to be reckoned with."
