Rhys wasn't as educated as Joseph was, on a number of topics, but the other man had a good head start on him. Through a good portion of his adult life, and before, he'd gone through topic after topic, just enough to see if it caught his attention. It hadn't been until Henry that stuff starting catching him, bit after bit. His lover was like that too, in a way. The fledgling knew that if he ever got going, he could listen to the Brujah for the rest of time just go on about anything. Maybe that was just on the way he spoke? Maybe.
He'd never officially met the Lady of Elysium, no, but he could feel the loss of it all in his own way. It was almost impossible not to, really, after all he had seen in the past two nights. Would anything go back to whatever version of normal it was that kindred had? That was yet to be seen, but he could tell it would be a very long time. Did they mourn longer than kine? It would make sense of they did - they all lived a lot longer, if they were lucky, of course.
Leaning back a bit, Rhys moved his arms so they rested on Joseph's shoulders his fingers tangled together behind him. "I... Really didn't want you to go." It had been obvious, he knew. How would it have been if it was the reality where the other man hadn't walked through those doors? He hadn't been letting himself think about any of that, not really, but they were alone now, with most everyone taken care of. They had a moment to talk about everything, right now.
