Amadeus & Hounds
Things were going as smoothly as they could when a building was burning and collapsing and the kine were getting too close. There was only so much he could do. Putting Ariel on logistics was like putting a fish on a bicycle and expecting it to pedal. It just didn't work out. Joseph and Cian burst out - and then there was that sound - that dreadful creak and groan of a building collapsing in on itself.
He had intended to yell for Amadeus but Ariel had frozen, feeling everything bubble up inside of him. If his lover didn't just--
-- and then he appeared right at Ariel's feet. He muttered a string of prayers in Italian under his breath as his legs gave out underneath him and he could only think to scoop Amadeus up. Eventually, he'd cuss him out, slap him, something. Not right now. Not with the ash and cinders raining down and all he could feel was relieved. "Care for a piggyback ride?" he asked shakily.
