Joseph & Rhys
Rhys had been curled up with a new book under that skylight when Joseph moved into the space. He didn't even need to look for long before he realized something was very, very wrong and when his lover spoke, he dropped the book, numb fingers scrambling at the soft blanket that was wrapped around him. Part of him really wanted to beg him not to go, not to risk himself to those flames.
Once he was free of the cloth, he came to stand with him, grabbing at one hand with cold fingers. "I-I don't want you to go." Green eyes searched blue, and for a moment, he almost found the courage to really do it, the thought clear on his face. "Please do-" A hard swallow before he looked down, changing his mind at the last moment. With a swift movement, he grabbed one of his bracelets and pulled the black stones over Joseph's hand, onto his wrist where it lay a little tighter than it did on him.
"Please come back..." Rhys pressed a quick, almost lingering kiss into that palm before looking up at him again, everything clear as day there. "If you don't... I won't forgive you. Ever."
