Julian tilted his head to the side as he continued to let all those thoughts and emotions wash over him. Maybe this was another reason that the boy's mentor had seen fit to stick them together even though Julian had been told to stay out of his head. He was pretty sure that he had been told that just so he couldn't play in his mind directly. But otherwise? He had free ruin and the Sheriff was a sly one.
"You also leak your emotions all over the place. And ask a lot of internal questions of yourself that would serve you better if you just came out and asked them. Building them up inside has never helped anyone. And you're not the only one who is fragile in their own way."
This was one of the reasons Julian knew others found Malkaivans unsettling. Why others found Julian unsettling. He didn't think twice about carrying on a conversation with you using the unspoken things. The things he learned about you other from your thoughts or the other whispers and thoughts that swirled around him.
"Does it make a difference? Possibly. Being the apprentice of the Sheriff certainly paints a target on you, especially as he plays far more dangerous political games than your Marquess, and is so very much in love with his Gangrel." Did Rhys ever stop and think about what that meant for him? Julian himself had never felt such love and devotion directed at himself. Knew that he never would. Love was not for everyone, even more so among the Kindred. When they did, even Julian realized how much more dangerous it made them. And how much more selfish. "What do you think it means to be tied to the Marquess of Hell's Kitchen?"
