"Not surprising. You have time yet. Besides, you've been rather busy with other things I hear." Julian gave Rhys a knowing smile. It was rather hard to consider changing one's name when they were suddenly caught up with a new lover. "Besides, it's best to ignore anything that comes out of Tristian's mouth. I think in some ways he may actually be madder than us all."
Julian knew he himself was very much broken and that his madness presented in so many ways, but at least his came and went and allowed him to interact with others as he was now. Tristian didn't seem to have an off button. Seemed stuck is whatever affliction the blood had given him and everything else their sire had convinced him of. Rusty had ruined them both but it wasn't even something they could bond over since Tristian refused to see it.
Ah, well. That was enough thoughts over that.
No, better to focus on other things. Like Rhys. The whispers liked this one. Crowded in Julian's head as if he wouldn't notice them or let them slid through his mind so he could listen and hear what they had told him. The Sheriff had of course mentioned so things but the whispers—they would always tell him so much more.
"Please, have a seat. I've promised to behave for the night." A coy smile played on his lips leaving Rhys to figure out for himself what that meant.
